M.A.R - Brief

Brief
A Video-Game company is planning to launch new game called “MAR: Martial Arts Robots”. As members of the company’s  creative team your task is to create the concept art of a robot-fighter and model it precisely. You also have to texture it and animate it in the selected Martial Art style. The whole outcome must be photo-realistic. Pay extra attention on the topology of the 3d character.
Be creative: experiment with different landscapes or character designs (keywords: industrial revolution, steam punk, cyber punk, high tech, sci fi , robotics, 3d printer).

Camera direction is very important too, for your short film.
You need to sunmit:
a)     A (30-60 sec) video with the robot performing M.A. movements (individual project). Sound is compulsory.
b)    A poster of your character in its environment.

Poster Dimensions: A3
Image Resolution: 300 dpi

Video Dimensions: 1280 x 720 pixels
Fps: 25

Submission
Each students must submit:
1.     a poster of the 3d model of a Martial Arts Robot posing in its environment (modelled, textured, rendered, post production)
2.     individual video of the M.A.robot
3.     Online Sketchbook

 Assessment Criteria
You will be accessed for your submitted work
·         30% Video: direction, sound, rendering and aesthetics
·         30% The way you created the M.A.robot: model-texture-animation
·         20% Poster.
·         20% Sketchbook

For this 3D project , we are to create a MAR - Martial arts Robot for a 'video game' company - as part of their game. The robot must be photo realistic and be based off a particular style of fighting - such as kungfu for example.
From this i am to begin my research into various styles of robots and fighting styles for inspiration.
